Lovely pub, great atmos and the staff are very friendly, even get the odd free pint now and again! Food is always fresh and compared to most places - generous portions! Gents needs to be look at as it's far from great, but the rest is faultless, and I'd highly recommend!

we went to meet up with friends. me and partner decided to get food. we spent £30+ and were so disappointed. he ordered a chicken burger with egg and bacon and the chips were cold and the bun was so burnt it ruined the taste. I ordered scampi and again the chips were cold. we ordered some cheesy garlic bread and that was burnt. we waited for someone to come and ask if everything was OK like they do in every other place that serve food but no one came. we decided to just eat it as we were starving and left. very disappointed

We recently held a wake here for my dad. Everything was perfect! The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The manager gave us a menu to take home showing the different options for the buffet with prices. It was reasonably priced and there were three price options to cater for everyone's budget. The room was decorated with gold table cloths which we thought was a nice touch. The food was beautiful, well cooked and hot. The drinks were reasonably priced too and all members of staff can pull a decent pint. Everywhere was immaculately clean! I'm glad that we had dad's wake there because they couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be holding events there again in the future, it's a great pub!
